Folding Kayak, my wilderness prerequisite

TRAK_Seeker_2014Isn’t life better unplanned? do you prefer a point and shoot lifestyle and a simple ‘get up and go’ kind of living?

When you reach the shore and cant go any further in your land vehicle, wouldn’t it be just the ticket to hit the water too. When a folding kayak is stored in the car, you simply can……

Perhaps you are travelling somewhere remote, where you can’t hire a kayak, its no different from taking your snow sports equipment on the plane either. Wild Country camping, off piste boarding….. kayaking anywhere on any water can be done with the same convenience.

trak-seekerMy seeker will be arriving in the next couple of weeks, I am seriously excited about where it can take me – and yes, it is red!

Firstly, my plans are to take it to the Loch’s of the Highlands, followed by the Fjords of Norway. I have some exciting plans in Norway and will reveal all once I have achieved what I set out to do.

The juxtaposition of nature from sea level to mountain summit allows us to comprehend it’s ultimate perspective.

Based on the indigenous Greenland design but replacing skin on bone with a modern tough-as-nails polyurethane fabric and a high-tech aerospace aluminum frame: a truly portable, performance folding kayak.

“The Seeker ST 16 is a truly go-anywhere, go-anytime kayak. Store it in your closet, pack it in your trunk, check it on the plane and shake it out in 10 minutes or less… to be on anywater on the planet. There’s nothing like it, that combines all the advantages of a folding kayak, with the most easy set-up on the market and the durability and performance of a hard shell. TRAK makes the world’s only performance kayak that fits in a golf bag. That means we can ship a 16 foot boat in a 4 foot box to almost anywhere in the world in 3 days. You can be on the water in no time”

“Adapt. With its patented TPS tensioning system, you can alter the shape of the kayak to the water conditions, your skill level and personal preference. Change from a highly rockered kayak (highly maneuverable) to a flatter profile kayak (straight and fast) in seconds right from the cockpit. This allows you to paddle in almost any environment that you have the skills for. Calm lakes, chop, rivers (up to Class 3), and big ocean paddling…whatever that paddling environment demands…adapt your kayak to those changing conditions. Now that’s real performance”
